The SCAL Company started in France in 1984. Its ambitions were to combine skilled training alongside exquisite ingredients to create a popular range of food concepts that would allow restaurant operators (with limited available skills) to offer 'High Street Quality Food' as demanded by the end user. This was particularly attractive to many contract caterers who were not only under constant pressure to improve food & service standards, but to increase income and gross profit at the same time. This vision proved extremely successful with SCAL now offering 12 different food concepts and turning over in excess of £25 million across Europe.

Approximately 5 years ago SCAL France was asked by a multi-national contract catering company if they could extend their European operations into the UK. A number of senior operations personnel made the trip over to the SCAL offices in Paris to see for themselves the quality and potential the SCAL Concepts had to offer the UK market. Amid much excitement we were presented with great plans for how this would take off in the UK and asked to commence with the first trial sites. SCAL UK was born and since then has seen vast growth in every one of our target markets.

Branding is also an important part of what we do. The brands that we operate are both our own in-house and external brands of our clients hat we operate in partnership with them. Our expert and dedicated team have resulted in many of the pizza brands that we supply & support winning many prestigious awards. Our success is simple; it is down to a small team of gifted individuals that are dedicated to exceeding our customers expectations every time.
